Hitoshi Matsuoka is executive vice president of treasury, coordination and strategic planning and oversees all financial aspects of the company.
He formerly served as vice president and treasurer, where he was responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company and integrating TMHU’s sales, marketing and overall business strategy with Toyota’s global operations.
Matsuoka has been with Toyota for nearly 20 years. Prior to his role as vice president and treasurer, he was manager of area sales operations for the overseas sales and marketing department at Toyota Material Handling Company (TMHC) in Japan. In that capacity, he was involved in sales planning and ordering for operations in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Prior to that, he held numerous positions with Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) in the textile machinery division where he managed the looms, sizing and spinning machine sales department targeting numerous Asian markets.
Matsuoka holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Nanzan University in Japan.
He resides in Irvine, Calif., with his wife, Michiko, and three young children: Nao, Chiharu and Kumiko.
